For some time, there has been a lack of high quality drive components purpose designed for the special needs of those in larger scales. With this in mind, TLS introduces the "Black Beauty" line of gearboxes. These gearboxes feature NWSL gears and worms packaged in high quality lost wax brass enclosures. These gearboxes have a higher reduction that provide greater performance at lower speeds with increased power. Designed with narrow gauge and first generation standard gauge steam in mind. they are optimized for smaller locos with a top speed of 30 scale miles per hour. When combined with our mounted flywheels, performance is unmatched.
